Organic green lentils* are incredibly versatile and are a popular substitute for meat in vegan and vegetarian cooking. These pulses are an excellent source of fibre and protein, and taste amazing in a meat-free lasagne, bolognese, or dhal.
*Do not eat uncooked lentils
Prep: |
Rinse with water. |
Cook: |
Place in a saucepan with plenty of water, bring to the boil for 10 mins. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 mins, until tender. |
Serve: |
Drain thoroughly, rinse and use as required. Approx 27g (dried) per portion. |
